Admitted as a Solicitor in 1977, George commenced his career in Sydney before his brother, a Doctor in Laurieton, lured George to the mid North Coast.

From 1979, George established the first sole practitioner legal practice in Laurieton and has been an institution in the Camden Haven ever since.

​

George was a partner of Searson Shannon & Co with David Shannon from 1995 until 2015, when health issues forced him to step back.

 

George passed away on 13 March 2023 and will be sorely missed by staff and clients alike, for his humour, keen sense of justice and care for his community. Rest in peace George.
